About Global Events Group

Global Events Group (GEG) a non-profit sports consultant agency based out of Atlanta, Georgia, USA with staff located in London, England, Beijing, China and Johannesburg, South Africa. GEG has two major divisions within the organization, The Major Sports Event Division and the Sports and Education Division of which 316 FC is a fund-raising and marketing component. The Major Sports Event Division focuses on providing consultation services to Major Event Organizing Committees around the World. Specializing in the development of Volunteer, Athlete Family Home Stay, Religious Service, Creative Arts and Big Screen Festival programs, GEG employees have served as consultants in 20+ countries over the past 15 years. GEG has served at more than 30 sporting events including the Summer and Winter Olympics, the World Cup of Football, Cricket and Rugby, the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, South Pacific Games, All-Africa Games, Francophone Games, Africa Cup of Nations, European Cup and Pan American Games to name a few. The GEG London staff currently consult on The More Than Gold outreach in England and are responsible for coordinating the Major Event Briefing during The Summer Olympic Games and Paralympics to be hosted by London in 2012 (www.morethangold.org.uk).

The Sports and Education Division focuses on developing Sports and Education programs for children around the World. Specializing in the facilitation and development of Soccer and Global Community Games programs (www.kidsgames.com) GEG employees have facilitated the growth of the KidsGames in over 130 countries around the World over the past ten years. They have also served as consultants to The Salvation Army in the US on the development of their Sports Programs and multimillion dollar Kroc Centre facilities. Over the last five years this division has overseen Community Outreach Programs working with some of the world's leading football (soccer) clubs and organizations, such as Liverpool Football Club of the English Premier League (which included the hosting of three LFC USA Academy Tours), Celtic Football Club of the Scottish Premier League (which saw the delivery of coaching clinics in 16 cities across the USA and Canada) as well as a further three England Schools Football Association USA Tours featuring the England National Schools Team.

GEG's Inner-City Community Sports and Education Program working with Pittsburgh Steelers, Hines Ward, engaged with more than 5,000 at-risk and disadvantaged children resulting in a 60% reduction in school truancy as a direct result of the programs efforts. 316 FC is currently focused upon developing strategic partnerships with soccer clubs on the west coast of the United States and in Canada linking up with English Second Division Port Vale Football Club as well as a series of fund-raising events which will seek to support various global projects that GEG is involved with including locations as far apart as England, India, North America and Niger.
